A bit of history

Mr. Jan Holub was general manager of the archiepiscopal estates of Moravia, and Head Forester of the Moravian forests. He lived in Kromeriz. In 1930, he had a villa built in the touristic region of Beskydy, near Celadna, for family vacation.

He kept improving the estate, adding a swimming pool, a bowling, a fish pond, a hothouse and an orchard … There was a smalll farm nearby, and of course the forest all around.

Jan Holub had two daughters. When he died in ealy 1942, the oldest inherited the house in Kromeriz, and the youngest got the estate in Celadna. At that time she was married to Mr. Karel Kornel and had two daughters. The family lived in Prague and spent the vacation on the family estate in Celadna.
